Every Child Is Special is a 2003 Filipino drama film starring Joey de Leon and Charo Santos. The movie is the first collaboration of the tandem that later became known as "Joey and Jinky". Arnold Reyes (Joey de Leon), an orphan, decides to set up his own home for orphans after seeing other kids in their sad state. He meets Khrystal (Charo Santos) who has strong guilt feelings over having to leave her younger brother behind. Every Child Is Special includes scenes depicting child abuse, drug addiction, poverty and other social ills facing children in the Philippines at that time. It was the only Filipino film during that year to be shown at Cannes International Film Festival outside France. The film nominated at the FAMAS Awards for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress.
